Energy, Infrastructure & Projects

Powering progress across the region

The development of large-scale infrastructure demands a legal team that has deep technical familiarity with the entire undertaking from the inside out. Our lawyers have supported clients in Singapore and beyond, across the full life cycle of energy, infrastructure and industrial projects. Armed with this holistic understanding, we help keep every phase moving forward smoothly, fully aligned with commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.

End-to-end support

We can support you through all key stages of a project, including early planning and structuring, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, securing funding, managing risk, and putting the necessary agreements in place to ensure smooth execution.

We will anticipate issues and set safeguards, while keeping every aspect on track and on target.

Guidance across structure, strategy and documentation

We can act for a wide range of stakeholders in a major development project. Our work includes advising on the appropriate corporate structure for each venture, as well as drafting, negotiating and reviewing the full suite of documentation - from tender documents and design-and-supply agreements to commissioning contracts and service-level arrangements.

Representative mandates

Some of the matters our lawyers have handled include:
Acting for an overseas entity on a solar energy project valued at approximately US$60 million
Advising a Singapore entity on the development of dormitory facilities in Singapore.
Acting for an international solar energy supplier on a project to power a resort in the Maldives.
Advising the developer and operator of a public port in Indonesia on BOT concession rights, project financing, EPC contracts and customer agreements.
Advising on upstream oil and gas activities, including private debt financing for service companies in the sector.

We also have experience with the development of waste management facilities, water reclamation plants, data centres and residential premises.
